my birthday today!
Officially, I turned 26 at 1:53am this morning(753am british time!)...I love birthdays, but I think I am slowly starting to feel my age at times(and cracking old bones):-p
I woke up this morning to the entire weight of Salty(my kit) sitting on me. He decided that 630am would be a good time to sit on top of my stomach. I pushed him off.:-/ Pepper soon after greeted both Jassen and I...pretending that she wanted under the covers and then cackled at us "Just kidding, foolz!lol" as she jumped off the bed to go eat some dry food.
Still working on wedding plans and such and even setting up a registry with John Lewis in the UK. They have alot of nice stuff, so our want list continues to mount!
Hopefully the weather proves to be a bit nicer soon. A little SUNSHINE plz. k. thx.
Take Care

So, this is where...
Jassen and I will be going to tonight.
We are meeting up with friends for drinks and it's actually a place that is relatively close to get to, using the 29 bus!
It's called Jamie's Bar and there are 20-some other ones in London and throughout the UK.
Here is a Linkie
It looks like a nice place to go, but we shall see for a friday night!
It is known as a wine bar, but other spirits are served, which im looking forward to!
Hope all is well with you all!

Why,...
hello bloggie!
It's been some time passing!
I am slowly beginning to acclimate myself to UK Greenwich time. And by saying slowly, i do mean, slooooowly!
I would gather than in the next few days I will be going to sleep by 10-11pm every night. For now, I fluctuate between that and about 2am.:-/ Tomorrow night/Early Thurs morning will mark one week since I've gotten here. Today is the 22nd of May, which means my birthday will be in one week from tomorrow!
I'll be the big 2-6! Crazy to think.:-S
Jassen has been asking me what we could do that day, and all I can really think about is maybe a movie or some foodz. The nice part about this upcoming weekend is that I think it might be a 3-day, since Bank holiday is the last monday of the month.:-)

Heading to the UK...
in a matter of a day and a bit!
I am looking forward to the change of pace. I have been so stressed, tired, and exhausted with all the last minute details for the wedding that I am aiming to get arranged before heading back to the UK.
I am wanting to go back now firstly, so I can be with Jassen, and my kittens, as well as be there to celebrate my birthday at the end of the month with Jassen, and then go to Glastonbury in June. We will be coming back towards the tail end of June together...with ALOT of things on our plate to accomplish as well as have some fun!
I look forward to being with my baby boo(Jassen) so much.....I've missed him like nothing else and I just want to relax completely!
I managed to paint the bathroom this morning and afternoon and that has taken up alot of my time, the preparation of the paints, and washing of the walls, etc. I also managed to change around my bedroom for a fresher feel, plus the amount of boxes for the wedding as well as gifts from the bridal shower last month are majorly taking over my room.:-S
After this post, I am heading into the other room to work on addressing invites, just so it is ready for shipping when I leave Wednesday.
That's all I really got. I feel like I am in the middle of a tornado with winds that arent ceasing, and wont until probably July 14th.:-/ After that, it will be time dedicated to organizing the UK-side of the reception for August. EEK!

And another week...
passes.
It feels like the days and weeks to me pass with such force. I have been non-stop busy, just about and it does no justice for my sleep.:-S I seems like I have wedding stuff always on my mind, things that I want to accomplish, and things that I need to pull this things off.
I leave back for the UK in a little over a week and still have some major things to accomplish.
This includes going in a week to the florist to pick out the flowers that will be in the ceremony, finalize the flowers with the cake designer, Gloria, continue to play with my hair to figure out my wedding hair, go to a makeup tester place to figure out my wedding makeup, so I can do it myself.
Also, finish the invites, print them out, and work on some sort of map and directions, print out the tags for the wedding favours, get ribbon for the favours, order a few more items from AsianIdeas.com, get back to the DJ on choice of music(which shouldnt be that big of a deal. I need to still get together with the Ringbearer and Flowergirl and their mom to get tuxedo's fitted and see if Julianne managed to get her shoes yet.
One worrying factor is getting ahold of the minister(which I attempted yesterday) to make sure the rehearsal date is squared away, when they need their final money, as well as how the music is going to work out. I am not one to hire an organist, and Id rather just have a cd player(if the sound quality is alright) and play it in the church for the ceremony. There is one song that I want and then all the others can be traditional, I dont mind.
And now, I need to get ahold of Lola, the lady working on alterations for my dress and also making my veil from scratch.
The last thing that will be happening for me before I head off to the UK is packing and how I am going to figure out what I should take. I got alot of things as gifts for the shower, I have books, and I have some clothes, but the more and more I look at my clothes, the less I want to take and just leave in my closet. Closet is such a funny word and it makes me wonder if Ive always spelt it wrong all these years. Seems....incomplete.:-/
I should also call the caterer to figure out the napkins and place settings, and I need some fake flowers for the arch as well as fortune cookies and afterdinner mints for the candies. EEK! So, much, I feel like Im going to overload.
In non-wedding news, tomorrow after work I will be attempting to draw a co-workers daughter. This should be fun since its been a little while doing this. I bought new pencils, paper, erases, et cetera for it, so I come prepared!
Today is voting day for my city, so I will be doing that later, before I head off to Cindy's for her to play with my hair. Yesterday I got my hair trimmed and highlighted, but it does seem a bit bright, so my hairdresser might turn it down a bit and then re-highlight. Usually when its bright, it takes about a week to chill out a bit and then looks really nice.
Alrightee....I BLOGGED. It's been a week. So, hopefully I blog before another week passes.
Time, the always funny beast.

Today...
the air smells good.
It smells fresh and springy and my nose appreciates its intake and as I exhale it longs for more.
The greenery of the grass and the trees, THIS is why i love spring. It's so refreshingly pure and I look forward to the future, with an extra skip in my step.:-)
There is a lot going on at the moment and tons more to accomplish. I am now left down to just a few more weeks before I head back over to the UK to be with Jassen, my kits, and work on the UK reception as well.
This past weekend, I had my bridal shower at the Park. It was a nice turnout of about 35ish people, although there were suppose to be 40 people or so, but they didnt show up for some reason or another.:-/
Jassen and I received some pretty awesome gifts but now it will be a matter of transporting it from here to there. It might take sometime to get that accomplished, but we shall see. I think this time around I will be transporting the majority of the rest of my books and clothing and anything beyond that will be things we received as shower gifts. Should be fun trying to store the items.:-S
There is a lady working on my wedding dress with alterations and she will be back in about a week before she puts in the final stitching on the dress. She is also making my veil, which should be completed right after that!
I am meeting up with my hairdresser next week to sort out what kind of hairdo I will sport and with that, I can figure just how the veil will be sitting in my hair. OH! And the lady working on my dress will be making the veil with a comb that has lily of the valley on it....very pretty, which is also my birth month flower.:-)
I picked up my rehearsal dinner dress and will post some pictures of it. I did a video, but that will be a matter of me dumping it onto youtube.:-p Things to keep in mind is yes, I am a bit pale due to the lack of sun, but by the time I wear that dress for rehearsal I will have tanned from being out in the sun because of the Glastonbury festival! Looking forward to it!
My dad has tried over the course of a week to get into contact with the cake dude. He was suppose to make another cake for us to test, but he hasnt responded back which is totally not professional! So, I will see if my mom can attempt and then schedule him to drop off the cake in early July. I also need to get into contact with the DJ and see what kinda song choice he is wanting from us and such. PLUS, i need to call the minister and see what kind of music can be arranged for the ceremony! I want an Imogen Heap song or something of that nature, but we are a bit unsure of the sound it will make in the chapel. We might have to set up something that is more localized to the alter and have the sound going that way. Im sure that will be tested at the rehearsal dinner the day before.:-p But we do need a backup plan fo sure, so I will have to look into that as well.:-/
I am wanting to do a dance routine with at least Valerie and Nicole to "Ain't no other man" by Christina Aguilera, but we really need to get together and figure out something if that is going to work.:-p
I am creating wedding favor labels and I could actually be done with that today with the right paper for the job! As for the invites, that is my mission to complete the US ones, print out, and then label close to 100 invites. I work tomorrow but Im sure i will get things done after as well.
Thursday, I am meeting up with one of my manager friends as she is trekking allll the way over the UK for the UK reception, so she has a million questions to ask, which is cooL! I think Thursday I will also later be heading out to the bridal shop for little Billy to get measured up for his tux and I need to give the rest of the measurements from the groomsmen. Exciting times!! YAY!!
That's all i got.
