HALLOWEEN....
Witch, MAGIC!
HALLOWEEN!!
This is my favourite Halloween cartoon ever! Now, I just need to find/get/buy the whole thing. For alot of Halloween's I would be sitting down in front of the TV watching this or Disney halloweens as well. Love it!
Happy Halloween Everyone!

It's...
kinda sad, when I think to myself that I won't be trick or treating this year.
I know...I know...You are probably thinking, "You? A 26-year old going TOT?" Well, my dear friends, it's just one of those traditions that I hate to break. My dad and I use to go together and my sister for the most part, but there was just something special about the night, going door to door, getting candies, showing off your costume, freezing your butt off, running through dried up leaves, and sometimes falling flat on your face since you accidently tripped on your outfit.
Those were the days.
More than likely, or it's aiming to be that way, that when Jassen and I have kids in a few years(3-4 years), I would want them to experience Halloween, maybe going through my old neighbourhood. I think for the first few years, might just throw small parties(very small), but when they get to the age of 4 or 5+, then head over to the states to visit and im sure my dad would still want to go with us.:-)
I'm also thinking of Thanksgiving, but not in the Pilgrim sense....more or less the family together-ness of it all, and of course Christmas is a must(for our offsprig). I am still and probably will be pretty sad about not going home for Christmas this year, but it will be made up in January, after the Christmas rush is said and done at work.:-)
People(customers, etc) are already Christmas shopping this year, but still I think it's going to be one of the busiest Christmas seasons this year. I found that if I started getting gifts around this time or early November, that I ended up spending more money in the long run on people. Last year, I was bad and spent somewhere along the lines of 500 in total, which is ALOT for me, considering I was only doing part time work(30 hours).:-/
I think, if I can, I will wait to spend money until im in the states, since really the only people I get gifts for are Jassen, my parents, and my sister, and a couple of friends. Im glad I dont have a million friends or I would end up really really in debt.:-p
Alright, I best start to get ready for work!
Talk later.:-)

Weird days...
that you just cannot put your finger on. I usually have lucid and really super odd dreams during the spring and fall time. The clocks here have fallen back, and so now I am only a mere 5 hours ahead of home in the states.
The past few days have been awfully draining and really it comes down to sleep and how much I am getting. I had a day off yesterday after a full work week, but that day seemed to fly on past me!
Jassen and I managed to watch the first episodes of the new seasons of both Heroes and House, M.D. Probably tomorrow night, we will start to catch up, which will be cool. We have finished the whole of DS9, that Star Trek Series im sure ive spoken of, so we have a few choices in what kind of series we will want to watch next. Voyager is one option, and many other people have recommended to watch the original series. Apparently, the original series only lasted 3 seasons, so that wouldnt be too much to handle.:-p
Yesterday, I also managed to grab the complete shoe box collection of Sex & the City. Although, I have seen maybe only 10 episodes in my life, the plan is to have two of my workmates, Kim and Sim come over to Jassen and mine's future place, and maybe something like once a month, plan a day to watch a few episodes of it, eat and drink, and generally just hang out! It sounds like fun to me.:-)
I was on the hunt to find some new boots since I managed to up and leave two pair that I have back home in Indiana(suck), so I got a black pair for under £8, which is nice.:-) I really just wanted to get it for a skirt that I have been wanting to wear to work, but it will definitely go with alot of other things.:-)
Jassen & I headed out to London earlier on yesterday and ate at Pizza hut. We ended up getting a 2-person meal, equipped with a medium pizza with pepperoni and olives, garlic bread, taters, refillable drinks, and a really nice chocolate cookie dough ice cream dessert!
We then walked about Oxford and Bond Street, getting some Christmas ideas, went to Starbucks and Virgin Megastore, got some gem bracelets for our astrological signs, and then made our way back home to feed our kits. They we quite hungry upon our return.
I work today and tomorrow, and will be off on Halloween which is cool, so I will celebrate by lighting my pumpkin, reading some scary stories, maybe catch a program on the tv, or watch something Halloween related just to spook myself out a little. Fun times.:-)
And lastly, pumpkin carving was done last night! I have taken some pictures of it and it will hopefully soon appear below this text. I love Halloween!

Anywho...
*YAwnz*
I wish I was a morning person like I use to be, back in the day, but it is really hard to get into a routine of waking up early when my work schedule is a bit all over the place.
So, now...I would like to list albums that I listen to alot or have been over the course of this month. When I listen to albums, I listen, over and over and over again. It's not a bad thing, since in a way I see it as holding on to an emotion and building on it.
Here they are!
Simon & Garfunkel's- The Best of
Kings of Convenience- Riot on an Empty Street & Quiet is the new Loud
John Mayer- Continuum..
Radiohead- In Rainbows
Travis- Any album really!
I really need to get some women in the mix up!

Update....
in the life of Jennifer...
Not too much happening at the moment, but it is as though I am waiting for a big, new, and exciting chapter to begin!
For the past 3+ months, Jassen and I have been attempting to get our own first home sorted. We found the flat complex, it's newly built, has two bedrooms, a master and smaller room, as well as a dining/living room, and openish kitchen. It is really quite nice and will serve us well to start with.
I can imagine being there maybe 10-15 years, but really it depends on when it comes to having children and if there is a major need for space, etc.
It will be very lovely for our kits, since the middle room will be designated for them as well as for guests when they should so happen to stay over.
When it comes to furniture, Jassen and I were thinking that it would probably be best if we have two sofa beds, one in the living room, and the other in the guest room, that way we can be ready for the unexpected.:-)
Hopefully in the beginning of November will mark the time when we will sign contracts and move in. We have been looking forward to having our own digs for quite sometime. I even recall over 2 years ago, when we were looking for places to rent, but then that really didnt pan out, when then had to save money for trips to the states and me to the UK, and then eventually plan our wedding, which is all now said and done. WOO!
We havent had a holiday(vacation in quite sometime)...really since August 2006, so i think maybe next year sometime, we will have to plan a little European trip just to sightsee and chill a bit. It is really and truly needed!
Sadly, this Christmas, it is next to impossible to visit my family, since I just started my job at Waterstones and am still in probationary time and really cant take time off, so in January, I am planning to visit the states for a post-christmas time, which should be a good one.:-) So, this means that this year, Jassen and I will have our first Christmas together alone, which is kinda cool in a way. New Beginnings. We will attempt to find and purchase a 4 foot fiber optic christmas tree and then get some ornaments.
Even before that, I am still on a little search to find a pumpkin patch here in the UK to pick one. If we are unable to, I will probably just end up going to a sainsbury's and getting one that route. I love halloween....maybe even more than Christmas, but my opinions on that changes all the time.
That's all for now.:-)

Hi Ho....Hi Ho
It's off to work I go in about 40 minutes.
At the moment, I am enjoying a bit of breakfast. I have a croissant with egg and a coffee, two sugars and milk. Mmmm...Kinda sugary but tastes wonderful!
Yesterday in the wonderful world that is Waterstones, Ron Wood from the Rolling Stones graced us with his presence. Although I didnt work the event and was working on the floor during his stay, I did see him exit the premises and hugged a fan or two on the way out. Kinda cool.:-p
I'm doing a mid-shift today, so that will be nice to get home a little bit earlier than yesterday, since I was on a late shift and with that, I dont get home til close to 1130.:-/
A work friend of mine, Simantha and I planned a pub night for tomorrow. I made a flyer and posted it, but really I am not expecting the biggest turnout. Alot of people are broke and just waiting for the next payday.:-p Anywho, it should be a good one regardless and quite possibly I might be working a little bit of my matchmaking magic tomorrow as well for a friend or two.;-)
It seems like a sunny morning at the moment, so it feels kinda like it will be a good and productive day today.:-)

Talk soon!(Since, really I have been seriously lacking on the blogging front, but sometimes the inspiration or the need to vent just comes in different levels or waves.)

Really P***ed off...
I am that.
Jassen had a surgery(not going into personal detail)last night, as we waited for 7 hours at the hospital to get him evaluated, looked at, set up for the NaCl(Sodium Chloride) drip, as so he didnt have food and drink in his system, to prep him for surgery(at an unknown time at that pt).
I left the hospital just before visiting hours were up, went home to actually eat something(minestrone soup and crackers) and binge a little on dark chocolate. Play a little Nintendo DS(Draw to Life) and Ouendan rhythm game. At 845pm, he went into surgery, was put under, and then woke up groggy at about 1030pm. He then texted me to let me know what was going on.
Apparently, the doctors will be coming around this morning, around 10am to evaluate him to see if he is okay to head home today. I think he should be released soon, but part of me is unsure, as the NHS like to keep people in hospital for as long as possible(which is fking annoying). Otherwise, if he isnt released, visiting times are from 2pm to 8pm and I am working today at 145pm til close.:-(
Of course, the mom being his mom, is skipping work(she uses any excuses lying around), which makes her look golden, and me like a poop. Jassen understands that I need to go to work, since its an hourly wage not so much a salary rate yet, since im in probational period(2-3 months).*sighs* Even if it pains us both, we need to be making the extra money for when we finally get our flat/apartment sorted out(I hope that its either the end of this month/beginning of the next).
I hate living here with his family. They are annoying, self-absorbed putts, that dwell on minor things, and blow them up and out of proportion. I will like them better, if held at a distance, I know this, so thats why we need to get the heck out.
I havent had much sleep lately, cuz people are very inconsiderate when it comes to make noises in the house, be it yelling, slamming doors, walking around in the loft(very creeky). *sighs*
I will try to think positive.
Trying being the key here.
