As each day passes, I realize how necessary it is for me to have a "do-to" list.
If one does NOT exist, my day is a weavy, nondirectional cul-de-sac!!
~~~~(Bong<--*me*-->Bong)~~~~
So here is my do-to list:
1. Exercise(checkaroo)
2. Stretch(checkaroo)
*Dramatic pause* Listening to Virgin radio and there is a commercial about someone who is the type that needs
to make a list....bizarre. Things like that that happen only confirm what Im saying. I get that alot. Sometimes confirmation in things is sooner other times and later others.
But yea,
3. Write in new blog(that im quite enjoying)
4. Drink 2L of water!!
5. Watch a movie or play video games
6. Write ideas for song
7. Work on Logic Express(for muuuusic)
8. Respond to my boo via msn messenger as he patiently waits for a response.(check)
hahaha...you can always try to compose one for a few days see how it goes...:-)
Its worth a shot and everything is different for other people!
Cheers for visiting my blob!
Take Care!;-)
Jen - Checking out your sight after your visit to ours. (1) You're post about thinking about things and them happening; synchronicity, I do believe there is some greater force that propels us and gives us signs; that ties in with George Harrison and that song "All Those Years Ago"; you should check out the full lyrics to the song; (2) you talk about spirituality v. religion; that's a fascinating topic; George was a good example, he was a deeply spiritual, guy with an Eastern spiritual orientation but he wrote "My Sweet Lord" which (apart from being one of the most litigated songs in the "material" world, a bit ironic), was the ultimate spiritual/devotional song of search and submission to a higher power; that song just had a divine energy; some intensity that felt like it came from beyond George. That's one of those things that made GH so unique. And he talks about God in "All Those Years Ago". Everyone's got a different path...But isn't the destination, the same in the end.
To Do Lists - Some days yes; some days creative space is necessary; I personally find I need to figure out which way I need to work for that day.
Words - when they are "wasted words" they come from some place in our ego or heads; when they are meaningful true or inspired they come from either the heart, the spirit or, I've had to conclude, especially in music and poetry some higher place, whatever anyone wants to call it. As an artist and musician, I know that I am not responsible and my most inspired efforts come when "I" am not in that room.
Musicians are the "spirit" of the world. Keep the faith. Keep in touch.
PS - Your quote - "Life without music is like a heart without a beat"
Have you heard Shawn Colvin's song "I Don't Know Why" - she says "If there was no music, then I could not get through" - how true is that?
Thanks for the response!
Yea...George was a very spiritual individual...in fact, he was persuaded by Patti Boyd about the Transcental mediations in India in the 60s. She was also the one that cheated on George with Eric Clapton, etc so, its interesting how life goes.
synchronicity was a big topic discuss in a little book by James Redfield-Secrets of Shambhala;very good
And I wholeheartedly agree that musicians are medians for other greater things. Thats the point, but it makes me wonder if im just a tool of choice when it comes to music if the flow is coming through me? Maybe thats what makes it unique and my own?? The ability to choose is a beautiful gift.
I havent read the lyrics to that Shaun Colvin tune you speak of, but I will take a look-see at both that you recommended!
There was a quote also by Nietzche(spelt his name wrong)
"Without music, life would be a mistake"
;-)
