i was looking on the internet for some thing to explain why mr cope was in your dream i found this interesting.

Dear A.R.E.: I am a 14-year-old girl, and my Uncle committed suicide about a month ago. He played a huge part in my life and was the most important person on earth to me. Last night I dreamt that he contacted me through the phone. I knew he was dead and all I remember is that I said "Is this..." and he said "yes" he told me a very important message but I can't remember what it was now. I was for some reason afraid to say his name because I thought he might go away. I could not see his face but his voice was very clear to me and I wondered if he actually contacted me or if I was just thinking about him so perhaps I just had this odd dream. I have been having a couple of dreams lately where I contact people that I know well that are no longer living and we both know that they are dead and that its only a dream but I am very sure (in the dream) that I am communicating with them. The first dream I could see the person as I last remembered them but with my Uncle I could only talk to him through the phone. Please Help I am very confused.

Yes, the Edgar Cayce information would say that you have had real communication with your deceased loved ones. You can find additional examples of this in the archives section. Let me recommend that you read the book Testimony of Light, by Helen Greaves, to give you an examination of what your Uncle may be experiencing, as well as further examples of this type of communication. In addition to communicating with your Uncle through dreams, you can also communicate though prayer - simply send him your prayers and your thoughts. May God bless you at this time. –

Dead

To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on.

If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.

To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.

To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.

*Please see also Die.

this is the closes thing to fading which mr cope did in your dream that i could find Disappear

To dream that people or objects are disappearing right before your eyes, signifies your anxiety and insecurities over the notion that loved ones might disappear out of your life. You may feel that you cannot depend on someone and feel that you are alone and inadequate. You need to work on your self-image and self-esteem.

Alternatively, to dream that someone is disappearing suggests that you may not have given sufficient attention to those aspects/qualities of that person within your own self. Have you lost touch with some aspect of yourself?
