It's been a while....but I guess I really havent been in a blogging mood so much.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's spring and Ive gotten a bit caught up in that.
What have I been up to all this time, you may be asking yourself??
Well, I've been self teaching myself Adobe Illustrator and Flash 8, so trust me, I am starting to build quite the collection of notebooks.:-S
It's all good though...I mean, I am starting to feel abit more comfortable with the whole Illustrator bit and soon enough, I will know it well enough to stick it on my Resume/CV! I do think I have a knack for this sort of art platform, more or less, so we shall see what I can create from it! My dad was wondering that when it gets to the pt of understanding web design, that maybe I can help him out with his site! I think that will be quite a fun project to undertake!
This morning, I felt a need to make french toast. So, being as the white bread was out of stock, we used wheat bread instead. I think also, I might have added a little too much salt, so for next time, white bread, less salt, and maybe try to find some type of syrup or jelly or jam to top it with!!
Also, Ive been thinking about trying to make Monte Cristos....If you have never tried one, I dont think you have honestly lived!!*jokes*
But for real, they are DELICIOUS!!
Yesterday was a bit of a lazy day for both Jassen and myself, but it was well needed. I did a bit of ebaying and picked up a few dvds so Im excited for their arrivals. Jassen has started in on the dan brown book Angels and Demons and really has taken a liking to it, so I think I will follow suit with the DaVinci Code, since I recall only reading about a 100 pages, before I switched to reading the Potter books!
Here, the movie will be coming out in the middle of May, the 19th I believe, but that is the same day as the Radiohead gig at Hammersmith, so I might either try and convince Jassen to see it earlier that day, cuz the concert isnt until 7 and my guess is that we will be set to be there at 4, so there is plenty of time before that. We shall see. He is suggesting that we either see like a 9am showing somewhere, or just see it the next day, but part of me is like...THE CROWDS!! THE CROWDS!! It will be busy with a CAPITAL B!!
Alrightee...that's enough for now!:-p
I am going to see if there are early showings anywhere, so WISH ME LUCK!!
Hope all is well with you guys!!

Strangeness, no?

I was chilling in Jassen's bedroom the other day, when all of a sudden, I got the shock of my life!!
A freakin hot air balloon was heading our way. It came out of nowhere and I was totally not expecting it. So, i yelled to Jassen, "GET THE CAMERA!!! GET THE CAMERA!!" We then got Reuben and Jassen's dad in the room.

I screamed outside the window...."DONT DO IT! DONT JUMP!!" Which only egged on the neighbours to come out to see what was happening. It was the talk of the hood for about 10 mins.:-p

Semi-Congratulation/Vent
Congrats to Gywnnie and Chris Martin on their second child, named Moses(who was born at Mt Sinai....funny)
[cue vent]:-p
Moses is a fine and dandy name for a child, it's just fine, but when it comes from contradictions and such, its a bit nerving.;-)
Here is the origin of Apple's name(the daughter):
After Apple's birth, Paltrow appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and said she didn't understand why people were making a big deal about her daughter's name. Paltrow said it was Martin who came up with Apple.
"It conjured such a lovely picture for me -- you know, apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical -- and I just thought it sounded so lovely and clean," Paltrow told Winfrey.
Okay...first off, Apples are not so much seen as wholesome, etc considering that BIBLICAL-WISE that it was the key element in the temptation of Adam and Eve's downfall from the Garden of Eden. Don't get me wrong, Apple is a pretty name(I think) but the basis on its origin and contradictions of ms paltrow, just somewhat erks me,in a funny way.
Now, they named their son Moses(being as Chris wrote a song called Moses for Ms Paltrow) and that to celebrate that, but I cant help to think back to the contradiction of their bible-themed children.
I guess if Ms Paltrow once(more than really) slammed the British culture, but changed her tune as she started dating Chris Martin and now get an award for Britain's best-dressed woman by Harper's Bazaar, then I'm just venting into an already howling wind.
*sighs*:-p
Today should be an interesting one. I am planning on reading up and studying the tutorials for AI, so that I can create more cool shite than I already am. Wish me luck!!

Jassen's Birthday Out!!
(Jassen and I at the Bus Stop/7am)It was a fun-filled and packed day that left our feet and legs aching!!
These piccies in no particular help to outline what our day was like.
In the morning, we both woke up at about 6am to ready ourselves with showers and prepping the backpack. We managed to leave the house at a little after 7 and caught the bus to Wood Green. When we got to Wood Green, we popped in a McDonalds for some brekkie on the run and managed to get the 29 bus into central london. That bus took just about less than an hour and during that time, we devoured our egg and bacon mcmuffins and orange juices respectively....then walked from the stop into the Piccadilly area. At first, we were a bit lost as to where the London pass tickets(£34 including travelcard 1-6), since Regent street is divided into addresses in about 3-4 directions.:-S
Finally, we figured the right path and arrived early since the place only opens at 9 am and it was about 10 til. We then decided that now would be a great time for Starbucks. We went to one near by, Jassen got a mint mocha frappaccino(I think I got him hooked on those from the states) and I had a tall caramel macchiato(sp). We headed back to the London Pass place and got our pre-booked cards. We got a guide book and I asked about the offer for the free bear, as it was mentioned on line, but not really advertised in lights. At the crest of london shops, we get free bears, so we headed over to one that was a few minutes away. I got a beefeater bear and Jassen got a guard bear. I'll take pics of those later and post them as well.:-p
We then went to Piccadilly tube station so that we could hop on the tube to Tower of London, but our passes were only good after 930, so that would have been a little nice to have been told that. So, we had a bathroom pit stop and really by that time, it was 930. We then traveled, I believe on bakerloo to district in order to get to Tower Hill Tube Station, when we got out, the Tower of London was literally in front of us. We walked a little ways to the ticket booths and presented our London passes and got in free!! We went in and were beingchastisedd into getting audio tour headphones, but we declined. Beware of those dudes people.
(A courtyard inside the Tower of London, near the Bloody Tower)So, we headed into the tower, reading up on Henry VIII, since he liked to behead his wives if they couldnt produce offspring...dude, Henry..maybe it was your sperm count.:-S Apparently, at one pt the tower was a prison, etc, so it has been said that the Tower is Haunted. Tower of London is also known as the Bloody Tower.
(Inside the Tower of London)
(Inside the Tower of London)
(Jassen outside of the Tower of London)Beefeaters are the dudes that protect the Tower of london and crown jewels that are also housed here.
(Guard outside of the building housing the Crown Jewels)
(Jassen getting fresh with a BeefEating Teddy Bear!)
(This was a building outside of the Tower of London and I liked the words)Moving right along, we headed out of the Tower in less than an hour to Tower Bridge. It was nice being over the river

Thames and having the ability to take piccies at that vantage point, but we didnt stay long since it was FREE, to us.
(Jassen looking at Tower Bridge over Thames)
(Looking towards the Tower Bridge)We then found our way back to the tube station and found ourselves at Monument tube station. The monument was right by the tube and we waited in line being as only about 40-50 people can fit at a time. In total, there were 311 steps to the top. I think it took Jassen and I a few minutes to get up there but we made it an MAN, i was out of breath!! The view was a sight! It's fun looking down below and seeing how small people look from high up. I was tempted to spit, but i held back.:-p
(This is high up on the London Monument)We took a few pics on the way down as well and ended up getting certificate for our achievements.
(the downward spiral, no?)As soon as Jassen and I got out of the building, people were asking in line if the 311 steps were worth it and we both said, YES!! And i showed off my certificate.:-p
We found our way back to the tube and headed towards Embankment. Got off, and walked on the bridge near the London Eye and went to Namco, which is a games place.
(On Bridge looking towards London Bridge on our way to Namco Games)We got 6 free tokens each. We played a game of table ice hockey(Jassen won 7-3) but honestly i was guarding too close which knocked it in each time.:-p
Then there was the rollball game were you have to roll the ball into circles for tickets, and i did good at that. Jassen then played a few rounds of the DDR game(he is good at it!) And we looked around as to what other games there were, we exchanged our 90 tickets for a Sylvestor*sp finger puppet and 2 pieces of candy(one that we got extra from the games dude). We had 6 token left and randomly chose a couple that we might have (accidentally) taken tickets out of the machine from since they forgot them, but we couldnt be too sure.:-p They were happy about that(and surprised) about the tokens.
We then grabbed a quick sandwich and then jumped into the London Aquarium.
(White Tiger Sharks and other fishies)The best bit of the Aquarium was the touchable sting rays. They were UBER cute and slimy!! We then really started to get tired from all the walking but we trudged on!
(Jassen in the mouth of Poseidon at the London Aquarium)We then went to Oxford Street to House of Fraser to a place called Selffridges &co. and Jassen recieved a 20 min backrub for under £10, (half off with the London Pass) I probably should have gotten one as well, cuz now, i am feeling it.:-p We then headed into Chinatown......passed into Hamleys and the Apple store.. and went to Chinese restaurant called Furama. We got a 5 dish meal, which was VERY good. It was rice based for the most part.
Corn and Chicken Soup-which was kinda like egg drop a bit
Cripsy duck, with sauce and veggies and wraps
Veggies and spring grass stuff, I forgot what its called.
Sweet and Sour Chicken
Black Bean Chilli Beef stuffz
and rice!
Also a big bottle of evian water.
It was a good meal and I recommend it!
At this point, we made the decision that the zoo was out of the question. Instead, we were pricing Theatre tickets for the Producers on Saturday. There are alot of schemers out there, BEWARE!!
We then headed to HMV to see what was on sale and I somewhat guilt tripped(not entirely) Jassen into going to Virgin Megastore(which was my bad). So, we got a few dvds cheap and then headed to the tube.
And of course, due to timing, there was a defected train at Holborn, so there was like a 30-45 min delay and we just sat on the train, cuz we couldnt be bothered to trek around the tube to find an alternative route.
We were planning on meetin up with some friends at Wetherspoons, but by that time, we were soooo freakin pooped and ended up having an early night. So, hopefully tonight, we can round up the peeps again and try to meet up again.
So, that was Jassen's Birthday....A BUSY 25th but nice. I think all the walking helped me to get more into a fitness state of mind, which is uber excellent!!
Tomorrow, this is when we are heading to central london again for some Noodles at Wagamama's, the Producers(musical), and then staying at a 4-star hotel!! Cant wait for the Jacuzzi tube!!!!:-p(IM A NERDD!!!)
I kinda wish that I took more piccies of things after the Aquarium, but we were so tired, so the idea escaped us. There WILL be pics for this saturday that I will post. So, stay tuned!!

Firsts
This is an idea that I saw on myspace. One of my highschool peeps posted it, so i figured out would fill it out!

Well, since my dad was in a band when I was a baby, I guess his band would be the first, but one that I can actually recall,..hmmm, I believe it was Ringo Starr at Park West in Chicago. My sister and I won tickets off the radio, so that was a nice incentive. I think that was in 1997/99, being as Ringo and his All-Stars usually tour on odd-numbered years. 20. First crush? Was Garrett Clough....i was obsessed in my brains over him, but yea....it was fun.

OHHH Goodie!!
Jassen's birthday is coming up quick! His birthday is in a matter of less than 3 days, so my plans is to treat him on a day/night on the town, which most probably will include a facial(and maybe one for me as well, since my face is in dire need!):-p
I will be taking pics, so I will post when that comes about!
As for when the weekend comes, for a birthday present from Jassen's mom, she wanted to treat Jassen, Reuben, and I to a weekend trip to Paris, but I was feeling a bit iffy with all of the border hassles etc...and Reuben wasnt really wanting to go.:-/ SOOOO, what the plans are NOW is that this weekend, Jassen, his mom, either Reuben/Niamh/or Devi's friend, are staying in a 4 star deluxe hotel in west central london from Saturday to Sunday, will be eating at Wagamama's(which is a Japanese style restaurant((very good)) and ALSO, taking in the theatre and seeing the Producers!! I am uber excited as well as Jassen, since it is a birthday shindig for him!! So, that is set for this upcoming weekend!
Then, next weekend is easter weekend(14th-17th), so really no big plans are in the works, but maybe some spring cleaning and such, so this will be time well spent with my honey, since the 14th and 17th are bank holidays!!
Then Devi is on vacation following after the easter weekend and she wants to take me out shopping as well as IKEA shopping, etc for fixing up the house! I love projects and since I have valid input on the matters with feng shui of furniture, I am going to suggest that Reubens room, a loft would be ideal, being as its a box room and really only a bed and a desk can fit in there.
With a loft bed, that gives way to floor space and more room to manuver! We will either paint or wall paper the room, rip the carpeting and replace it with laminated flooring and also putting in a tv bracket as so even more space will be clear! Also, what I think would be cute is rope lighting around the loft bed on the lower section that will be more or less a work/desk area.
Jassen's mom then wants to furnish the upstairs loft properly, so we will look into beddings, and dressers, as well as sofas/chairs, tables, etc.
There is a dresser that would be most excellent for Jassen's room, since his other dressers are breaking down and it would be really nice to get some sort of shelving in regards to the expanding dvd and book collection we have on our hands.
I DREAM of the day in which we will eventually have our own place, Jassen and I, but it is sooooo difficult to get a nice house for under 150,000(yes, in pounds)..More or less, it would be in the region of 200,000, unless we found an absolute kickbutt of a deal! Plus, the wages that Jassen makes currently make it hard to get a mortgage, but if it were the situation in which I was to have a visa that I could legally work with, then things would be more of a reality much more soon.
I know that time has a way of passing by awful fast, but I wish that the time was now and I could keep the time that it would normally take to reach our goal, but I guess that is life.:-S Ill have to enjoy it as much as I can, till the point as to which Jassen and I will be ultimately gleaming from ear to ear, basking in the fact that we reached quite the milestone in our short lives of nearly 25 years.:-/:-p
Anywhoz, Jassen and I also plan on taking a mini holiday to Brighton, at the end of April/beginning of May. We really should have booked a hotel/b&b this weekend, but this might be done some time tomorrow, since Jassen has been really exhausted for the past few weeks and has crashed into a heavy sleep. Brighton is known to be the "gay-capital" of England, so that should be fun!!
I guess I have alot going for me, on top of learning more about AI, a little bit of Japanese, the animation project that feels like it is taking forever to work on, my own side project entitled "Shitty Love", etc etc etc....life is good, but sometimes overwhelming.
I hope all is well with you all and have a wonderful day/evening!!
