Where have you been
Oh Jensieve Oh Jensieve
You arent my ONLY friend.
CRrrrrack!
Well, All I can say is that I had a rather good weekend!
With minor bumps in the road, overall the journey was a smoooth and positive one!

On friday, Jassen had a do that I was to attend with some of his fellow co-workers. Other halfs and friends came as well, so i wasn't a loner in that aspect. We went and saw cricket Middlesex versus Surrey. Surrey totally kicked ass but I was silently rooting for them near the beginning.
This was the first time that I saw a cricket match and it was actually kinda fun plus I started learning to rules of the game.:-)
Now, Im curious whether cricket is older than baseball cuz I can see the basis of it in there somewhere!

It kinda looked like rain at times but it never did, which was a good thing! Brought the umbrella just in case.

Afterwards, Jassen and I shared a pint and then headed with the group to a Spanish Restaurant called the Rueda! We had cocktails(I had Baileys on the rocks! and Jassen a beer.) We settled in and order all of the appetizers on the list and tried all sorts of things! Like there was this weird bacon stuff that not too many people touched, potato cakes, I think squid(which was a bit tough), shrimps, meatballs and rice(which was AWESOME), bread and butter, chicken and garlic, grilled sardines, King prawns with sauces, water, and a few glasses of 12% white wine...so, needless to say, I got a bit tipsy!;-)
All in all, it was a lovely night, I met Richard and Claire, Andy's Gerry, Sue and her husband, Thalia's son, as well as Anna and her boyfriend, had met Angie and her sister before, and David Roberts. I hope they enjoyed the time as much as I did!
Jassen and I then headed back a little after 11 to catch the bus before 1230, since we didnt want to walk for an hour if we missed it! So, we got home, reallllly tired and had some drunken sleep.
We then woke up in the morning and got ourselves ready to go see Pirates of the Carribbean:Dead Man's Chest. Stay until the end, if you have yet to see it. It was a good movie and definitely a transitioner movie for the 3rd one, but good nonetheless. Not as slapstick as before but it has its moments. Jassen and I also saw Over the Hedge(on Wednesday) and that was really good as well. I recommend!
SOooo....after the movies, we walked around for a small bit, went to WHSmiths and then realizing we didnt want to get ripped off with the prices on books, then walked down the street to another bookstore and got prices much cheaper. We ended up getting the 6th harry potter book in paperback, since we have the others in paper in our collection and I got the book Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. I let you know how that goes, but its based on the ideas of "thinking without thinking" and going with your first thought with things in life.;-p
That was pretty much our day when we came back home and then watched some Star Trek:Season 3(nearing the end of the season episodes) and then Braveheart(since Jassen had never seen it and I recommended).
Sunday, we didnt do much, although I wanted to do another tube adventure, but Jassen was a bit tired so we decided against it. Maybe next weekend(Although Jassen's cousin is having a 21st birthday party so we shall see)...we watched the rest of Season 3 of Star Trek and started on the 4th season(yea, we are nerds and <3 Star Trek). Now we are starting to realize that we are in dire need of getting the 5th season at the rate we are watching them.(OBSESSION)
We headed to KFC to burn our butts with the Zinger meals(which I felt this morning and it hurt like Indian food!) and then to McDonalds to see about the new Rolo Milkshakes. Alas, they were out of the Rolo stuffz so we headed back to KFC where Jassen and I overindulged in a Lemon Icecream and Flake Ice cream...The lady made it a bit weird by putting the ice cream in first then adding the bits on top(instead of mixing) but it was alright.
We then walked back home(walked for 40 mins=around 2 miles) and watched more Star Trek!! Maybe tonight we will take a break from it just to clear our heads a bit. Or maybe not!:-p
So, I have less than a month before I head back to the states and I have been trying to get in contact with some of my coworkers at Barnes and Noble so that I may notify the heads that I will be returning soon(since I love money and it helps me pay off my student loans). It is going to be strange. I wont be back in the UK until at least next year sometime(so for at least 7 months or so). It is going to suck not being with my kittens, but the good thing is that Jassen has already booked time off to see me in late September/October and will book time off later, at the end of the year for Christmas time(since he likes Christmases in the States with my family):-)
By the time I come back, Pepper and Salt will be nearing the 2 year mark( I cant believe they are 1 already!)*sighs*
I have a feeling that this time, when I go back to the States, work, etc...it will go by fast. It seems like my life is doing just that already. So fast....so fast. I am already making plans for "future occasions". I love making lists and creating things, so I think I will be busy busy for a while really, especially with work being back in the picture.
Life isnt that difficult. I mean, strange and worrying stuff does roll your way sometimes, but overall....it isnt difficult....kinda fun actually...
As you can see, I had a really good weekend, I am in higher spirits, and Im starting to see glimpses of myself, in the way that I want to be seen.
I hope all is well with you guys!
Take Care.
