I'd like to update about my goals.
You remember how I took on drinking no coffee or pop(started this on October 11th). Well, I am on day.....18 of this and I can't believe I've held out this long! It's been difficult cuz I do love coffee, but Ive replaced it with tea and chai tea instead. I think that my body can feel the difference too. I mean, with the coffee, I was dependent on the high that it gave to make me feel good. That high would only last so long and then I would feel so in energy once again. Without the coffee or pop, I have more of my natural energies and those seem to last a heck of a lot longer than that of caffeine. It's kinda refreshing.
November 10th, which will mark day 30 of my anti-coffee/pop campaign, I think I might celebrate it by one cup of coffee....then, I will once again, try for a month no coffee. The benefits so far outweigh the negatives so far and hopefully I will see even more results. My weight is a main issue with me that I want to tackle, especially before I get married to Jassen.
I know..I know...Most brides to be lose tons of weight before the big day and then AFTER they are hitched gain it alllll back and then some! Well, this isnt going to be the case for me. At least Im hoping so!:-S hehe But yea, since ive taken coffee out of the equation, I have lost nearly 3 pounds and find myself at 166.0.:-) It's the lightest Ive been in about 8 months-to a year or so.
My goal is by January 1st, 2007, to find myself at 155. It's possible. I mean, its 11 pounds away, Ive lost 3 pounds in a little over 2 weeks. If I keep this up(there are 63 days left til the end of the year), there are 9 weeks left of the year....that means if I maintain my status of losing weight, then it's entirely probable.:-) Plus, it's getting into Christmas season at work, so things are picking up and getting busier...so, that means a LOT more running around the bookstore for Jen.:-p
Oh, and I got my wedding dress picked out on Thursday.:-)

Jen...long ago I read a book about goal setting and reaching our goals--the idea is to break down a big goal into smaller, acheivable chunks, add a few pleasurable activities in between the formidable actions and reward oneself for every milestone reached.[ don't ask if I followed and reached any goals. I didn't :-) ] Here's wishing you success in this small goal of yours.
There are two divergent ideas about leading life--one is to set goals and strive to reach them. The other is to live spontaneosly, day by day, moment by moment. Which one do you personally subscribe to?
Hmm...I like the spontaneous....cuz you just go with the flow, but also I like to have control over my situations as well....walking contradiction, I know,,....but I guess thats what makes things alot more interesting.:-p
Ive reached some goals....graduated from high school and university...these are personal goals, but also there are life long goals....so, that you wont see until the end.:-p
