We went to a place called The Prince which is really a skip and a half jump from the tube station(Brixton).
No sooner than did we make it in front of the KFC next to the pub, we heard a loud CRUNCH then a womanly scream. Laid before us on the curb, an older african man was in the street, things sprawled as a bus pulled away. I don't know if he was trying to make it across the street or he was stepping off the bus....it literally had me frozen in fear as to whether or not he had his leg run over.
He then got up with the help of 3-4 people that dashed to his rescue and it seemed like a dozen people whipped out their mobile phones to call the police. He waved that he was alright and I "THINK" that through all the commotion, it was his belongings being run over and he simply tripped between getting off the bus and hitting the curb. Of course, the bus driver gave two poos about the situation and didn't stop and continued on his way. Something tells me he will get reprimanded for this somehow.
Apparently, this happens alot around Brixton. I heard a story later in the evening, as we retold the story to others, and one time an older woman was stepping off the bus, the driver closed the door, as her leg got caught up and she was DRAGGED through the streets of London a short distance, people screaming and pushing the emergency buttons to stop, the bus driver NOT paying attention. So, folks, when in London, PLEASE realize that pedestrians right away, doesnt so much exist. You have to be weary!
Anywhoz, Brixton.... It isnt the friendliest of atmospheres, the people are a bit more dodgy, but I've been there a few times for the likes of concerts(Doves, etc.) After a few drinks(3 baileys on ice, a corona, and a chocolatety liquor), Jassen and I headed to kfc for 2 zinger meals. Here is what it looks like:

plus there were two small chicken wings, all with a bit of kick!
We ate this probably in 4 mins, which was a bit too fast for my stomach. This was due to the fact that it was past 11 and they were just doing take-away orders, no sit ins. So, we headed back into the pub, I had a red bull with vodka, and attempted another baileys, but that was my limit....I WAS SPENT!
Oh, and also not to name drop too much ;-p, I got to hang with a guy that is really good friends with Ricky Gervais(The Office, A Night at the Museum, etc.). Of course, I didn't realize this until the cab ride home, there was an aura about him that made me think of Ricky anyway.:-/ He was a deep person with a good sense of logic(Jassen is like that too, so they got along well) and lovely to chat with and you could tell that he really wasnt't a bullshitter, which was refreshing in itself.
Yea, so....we ended up pubbing from about 6pm to 1am in the morning, then made our way back home and arrived after 2am. It was nice to hit the bed. Jassen was OUT for the count only a mere few minutes as his head landed on the pillow.:-p
Backtracking a bit, I spent the majority of the day organizing Sam's room. Good news, he might be heading to Royal Free(for his kidneys) and then will be released 2 weeks after that! Unfortunately, I will be heading home a few days after that. Hopefully I can be there when he gets wowwed by his new room(old room painted, wardrobes put together, dresser built up, things organized, new carpet, etc etc and so on...) I've worked REALLY hard on getting things all awesome-like and have done the majority of the project, minus the knocking down of the old wardrobes, some scrapping and painting.
Tomorrow, Glastonbury Tickets go on sale...WISH US LUCK in getting a pair!!
Prices have gone up £20, but all in all, it's worth it....:-p
