the air smells good.
It smells fresh and springy and my nose appreciates its intake and as I exhale it longs for more.
The greenery of the grass and the trees, THIS is why i love spring. It's so refreshingly pure and I look forward to the future, with an extra skip in my step.:-)
There is a lot going on at the moment and tons more to accomplish. I am now left down to just a few more weeks before I head back over to the UK to be with Jassen, my kits, and work on the UK reception as well.
This past weekend, I had my bridal shower at the Park. It was a nice turnout of about 35ish people, although there were suppose to be 40 people or so, but they didnt show up for some reason or another.:-/
Jassen and I received some pretty awesome gifts but now it will be a matter of transporting it from here to there. It might take sometime to get that accomplished, but we shall see. I think this time around I will be transporting the majority of the rest of my books and clothing and anything beyond that will be things we received as shower gifts. Should be fun trying to store the items.:-S
There is a lady working on my wedding dress with alterations and she will be back in about a week before she puts in the final stitching on the dress. She is also making my veil, which should be completed right after that!
I am meeting up with my hairdresser next week to sort out what kind of hairdo I will sport and with that, I can figure just how the veil will be sitting in my hair. OH! And the lady working on my dress will be making the veil with a comb that has lily of the valley on it....very pretty, which is also my birth month flower.:-)
I picked up my rehearsal dinner dress and will post some pictures of it. I did a video, but that will be a matter of me dumping it onto youtube.:-p Things to keep in mind is yes, I am a bit pale due to the lack of sun, but by the time I wear that dress for rehearsal I will have tanned from being out in the sun because of the Glastonbury festival! Looking forward to it!
My dad has tried over the course of a week to get into contact with the cake dude. He was suppose to make another cake for us to test, but he hasnt responded back which is totally not professional! So, I will see if my mom can attempt and then schedule him to drop off the cake in early July. I also need to get into contact with the DJ and see what kinda song choice he is wanting from us and such. PLUS, i need to call the minister and see what kind of music can be arranged for the ceremony! I want an Imogen Heap song or something of that nature, but we are a bit unsure of the sound it will make in the chapel. We might have to set up something that is more localized to the alter and have the sound going that way. Im sure that will be tested at the rehearsal dinner the day before.:-p But we do need a backup plan fo sure, so I will have to look into that as well.:-/
I am wanting to do a dance routine with at least Valerie and Nicole to "Ain't no other man" by Christina Aguilera, but we really need to get together and figure out something if that is going to work.:-p
I am creating wedding favor labels and I could actually be done with that today with the right paper for the job! As for the invites, that is my mission to complete the US ones, print out, and then label close to 100 invites. I work tomorrow but Im sure i will get things done after as well.
Thursday, I am meeting up with one of my manager friends as she is trekking allll the way over the UK for the UK reception, so she has a million questions to ask, which is cooL! I think Thursday I will also later be heading out to the bridal shop for little Billy to get measured up for his tux and I need to give the rest of the measurements from the groomsmen. Exciting times!! YAY!!
That's all i got.
ta!

Don't forget to breath now!
And I'm glad the shower went well, despite the no shows.
Jen....you forgot to invite me, archana and my kid...:-)
That must be one hell of an excitement, isn't it? Rushing around, arranging things, ensuring that everything goes well and smooth...and not forgetting to enjoy the invaluable moments.....
All the best and lots of love from all of us here. Have a great life ahead! Convey our love and regards to Jassen as well!
