So, it arrived...

this morning at 7am. That would calculate it to be 1am central time in the states, so I started reading it just about when everyone else would be starting it!

I have managed to make it nearly to the half way point of the book. It seems like there is a lot more going on in this one, so it makes for a much slower read. In total, I have probably read somewhere in the range of 4-5 hours. I feel like Im going at a slower rate, but it picks up when there are "scenes". I had a question on something and Jassen went on wikipedia to look up Tonks on the family tree and some spoilers were revealed as to who dies. He didnt tell me who, but I told him what I knew up until the point I read.

Unfortunately, we are heading out to Marks & Spencers as well as WH Smiths for some stationary, so I pray to whomever that I dont run into any spoilers whilst out in public. I plan on either finishing the book tomorrow or Monday morning. EEK! THe anticipation is going to keep me on pins and needles until I come back to the book to read!

Jassen and I only have one copy between us, so at the moment, he is starting the first few chapters of the book, while I blog and when I showered. Im glad I have a patient and sharing husband.:-p

Is this the end of Harry Potter? All shall(at least should) be told soon.

Of course, I wont post the ending on my blog, but Ill definitely remark on it in an indirect direct sort of way.;-)

Just in a blogging state of mind...

and then my mind goes blank...
hovering around for thoughts that don't quite formulate!!!

Okay, okay....I wanted to share my Astrologer's report for today, since I kinda like what its saying and I personally think it's true!

Your Horoscope for JULY 20, 2007

"You can capture the hearts of the people around you by surprising them with unexpected anecdotes from your past, Jennifer. Realize that you have the power to make a significant transformation in someone's life - maybe even your own. Don't underestimate your gift of communication. Most people don't have your connections or quick-witted mind. Use these qualities to your advantage by spreading your unique knowledge of the nature of people."

It's a bit bizarre that it's already the 20th of July, and that Jassen and I have been married for nearing 2 weeks!!I also love the fact that special dates of ours are divisible by 7 or have 7 in it. For example, June 21st being our anniversary date for dating, we got married on the 7th day of the 7th month of the 7th year of 2000s, the proposal was the 27th of July, things like that!

It's all good.;-)

Here are a few more pics from the wedding day! Compliments of Iain Forrester!;-)

With the anticipation of Harry Potter...

looming above our heads, I am going to make it a point to re-read the last book, Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince.

It has been a little while since I last read it and I want to be clued in as possible, really. Jassen and I pre-ordered Harry Potter a long time ago on amazon and an email was sent out that it is getting ready to ship, so one can assume that its on the way for Saturday!!

I will attempt to read it as deeply as possible and maybe skip over some parts just to get it fresh in my mind. I totally want to rip through the last book, but not, since it supposedly is the last one ever. I have heard a few rumours that Rowlings might write another, but in a way that would be a bummer...I think 7 will suffice. Also, on the 16th of this month, supposedly some person had an advanced copy of the book and took pictures of all of the pages and put it up online. I really dont want to see that as Id rather read the book on my own accord.

Oh and my family, which included my mom and dad as well as Jassen, saw Order of the Phoenix at the IMAX in my hometown and it was quite good! Much better than the last movie, for sure!

And in personal news today, Salt and Pepper managed to get outside on the roof of the kitchen from the bathroom. I thought I had checked all windows, but some one managed to leave the bathroom window open...Not really asserting blame as such since this all ended up in a happy reunion with my kits....As soon as Pepper saw me at the window, she jumped back in...as for Salt, he looooves to play. We tried coaxing him with food, he got reachably close but we didnt want to scare him which would then force him to go even further out on the roof than he should....so, about less than 10 minutes later, we got him back in the house and all was well.

Tomorrow is friday, so i will be busy with the book reading and probably some sort off organizing of things in the room. There are no plans as such to go out tomorrow night, but I have seriously been craving some Krispy Kremes. On Saturday, we are visiting Jassen's cousin named Jasen, with one less s, since it will be his cousins 25th birthday...We will travel to South London, and I believe we will be crossing through Victoria Station. That being the case, I am well aware that there is a Krispy Kreme stand, so maybe thats where we will be obtaining my sweet tooth fix!

Recently, because I wake up so late in the morning(or afternoon), I havent been eating as much food. I kinda see this as a good thing, since I over indulged while statebound. I think it was many because I was surrounded with Brits that wanted to get their American food intake...so guilty by association I suppose. I know that Jassen over ate as well as Reuben, his little bro. As for me, I only managed to put on a few pounds, but I have a goal of losing about 5 or so by the end of August for the UK reception.

I still need to work on getting my dress cleaned and pressed, figure out who is going to do my hair, and I figure that I will just paint my own nails and do my own makeup, since I still have the makeup from the wedding day! I think the only thing that I am in dire need of is a brown eyeliner pencil. Other than that, really I am set.

I know that there is still alot of organizing that is needing to get down, so over the coming weeks and weekends Im sure that is going to be addressed. We have invited nearly 300 people for this reception, and KNOW that at least 120+ people are already going to make it. EEK!!!

Its only fair.....I had the US reception for the US side and now its time for Jassen's side...You dont even realize how much bigger my family has gotten. I kid you not, I'd say by 20x

Just bloggin' about...

I havent been up to too much today...I ended up waking and greeting the day at 11am. Even though that is a bit late to be waking up, you must understand that Ive been hit with some severe jet lag, plus yesterday I woke up at 1pm, so I think my body is starting to readjust.

My mom recommended that I expose myself(not completely of course!;-)) to the sun for a few hours, even if its by an open window. I do have the desire to close the window shades, but I will refrain from doing so!

I think that the antibiotics are starting to seriously kick in, which is what I hoped it would have done before the trip back over to the UK......but at least I know that it is getting rid of this nasty sinusy infection crap that Ive probably had a lot longer than I care to claim.

Today is Jassen's dad's 69th birthday. HOORAY for him making it this far. Earlier this year, it looked as though he wasnt going to make it this far, so this is definitely a blessing. Jassen and I got him a card as well as a desk oscillating fan that will help for over this summer. He probably has one, but this one seems like it might be a bit nicer. Let's hope he likes it!

Before leaving the states, Jassen and I purchased the Canon Powershot SD1000 Digital Elph/known as IXUS in the UK. It is a 7.1megapixel camera and takes really nice photos as well as video! Jassen ended up getting a 8gb sdhc card, so now we can take over 2,500 pictures or 64 minutes of video! I know its a bit excess, but the novelty of it is quite cool! It is about the size of a package of cigarettes too!

At first, I didnt care for its overall boxy appearance, but after using it, it is fast and pretty much when you turn it on, its ready to shoot!

It was a nice investment, considering we only had to pay about 50 bucks out of pocket. Friends and family were QUITE generous with the target gift cards.;-)

Another thing that I ended up obtaining was Jassen 30gb video ipod as he got an 80gb for a deal! We went to the Apple Store on the day of my spousal visa appointment and ended up getting these dandy belkin ipod covers! I got green and Jassen the red!

Of course my ipod is black and looks a bit different with the green case.:-)

Now the biggest dilemma is how on earth are we going to ship the wedding and shower gifts over to the UK without damaging!? I really wanted to get as much as possible over without going through a company, but if Jassen and I manage to get a place of our own SOON then it will have to be shipped over. EEK! Any suggestions? I know that FedEx is a bit expensive.:-/

The need for sleep...

I stir...
I'm awake

Out of nerves?
Out of an uneven temperature?
Out of tiredness?

Maybe...

It's 2am, London time, and I find myself awake and somewhat alert. Probably a dosage of Coral Calcium would do the trick, but at the same time, I dont want to oversleep for 7am. You see, I look forward to waking up in the morning, readying myself, and then trekking out with Jassen before he is needed at work. Little adventures early on in the day are nice ways to begin, me thinks.

I was asked by someone, quite recently...what are your goals?

I stopped...and pondered....and pondered some more.....then the person asking the question pointed out in question, "Why are you taking so long to come up with anything?"....I then posed the same question internally.....there are plenty of things I want to accomplish, but how come nothing in particular comes to mind?

Hmmm.....confidence......
and....

belief in one's self.....

I've been quite lacking for a while now.

It takes a friend to point out that maybe something "is wrong with you"...and it takes someone who thinks the world of you and loves you beyond definition to make you actually "SEE, REALIZE, and WANT to change your current TUNE," that maybe, just maybe you are allowing everyday stresses and negativity get the better of you....

if this makes an iota of sense....:-p

I guess it's hard to look at one's self from an outsider's perspective, but maybe that's just one of the many beauties of being in a relationship or getting married. I've been really shitty.....for a long time coming......out of lack of confidence......out of a sense of loss of individual belief....I don't know why or how it happened along the way....but I have been downward spiralling for some time now...and like a whirlpool, or a tornado....or a suction, I had no regard for how that affects the people around me, strangers and loved ones alike......pulling them in.....due to my inability to handle my own stresses.

I guess I could say that I have always been like this....but then that would probably be a lie.....lying to myself.....

You see....I am one of those people.....that has the ability to affect people......some more on others.......but like I said, its hard to see at times...So, when I am negative....it's like the world is ending.....that I am my own personal blackhole.......but when I am positive...I am like the sun on a nice spring/summer day....and people bask in the glow, enjoying the warmth I produce...

Really, there is no point in being so negative all the time....life, as they say, is too short....we need to make the best out of a situation...put a little comedy into the batter....no need for sourness.....that comes around, knocking at your door, without even trying...

I hope everyone is well this evening...whether you are sleeping soundly or just starting or ending your day....

talk soon.
:-)

And yet again, back...

in the UK....I am majorly jet lagged and very apathetic to things around me.

I look forward to beating the lag, as it is totally trying to kick my butt!

Got my spousal visa on wednesday in Chicago, which is good for 2 years and then I have to apply again for ILR after that.

My kits will be home in about 10 hours more or less and Jassen will give a call to make sure as well! I really feel depressed without them.:-/

I hope the apathy washes over, cuz it makes me feel a bit cruddy.

night!

Today is the Big Day,...

stomach is turning a little...

out of nerves and excitement all rolled into one.

I'm marrying the person I want to spend my life with, ups and downs, and look forward to ALL of it!

A bit under the weather, I hope that I can truly cope and ENJOY what this day has to offer! I mean, it onlyl happens once!;-)
