If you are unaware...

that both my hubbie and I are trekkies, or fans of Star Trek, in particular "The Next Generations" and "Deep Space Nine(DS9)", then let me change that!

Last year, we did marathons of the former, as there are seven seasons and managed to finish up the last before we headed back over to the States and married in July. Feeling withdrawls, we then completed our collection of DS9 and have been on mini marathons since. So far, we are about 7+ episodes into the fourth season of DS9. Its' story lines complex and deep, but its one of those series that needs to be watched one after another, cuz they are all linked.

This morning, I was on the net, par usual, and found some facinating pictures of space, of solar systems up to and probably exceeding the likes of 1,100+ light years, binary star systems that take a mere 320 seconds to orbit around one another

, and a solar system with 4 stars!

Look...

It just amazes me(even though the conspiracy part of me is screaming from the side lines of it being possible fakes), just the vastness of our "universe". I feel small, but even so, relative to where I stand, I feel my existance is bigger than the universe. Intricate webbing, or so my perception believes,...if I didnt exist, who would be the one appreciating life from my perspective, but me? It doesnt seem possible for it to be any other way, regardless of the possibilties of parallel universes.

As a Trekkie Anonymous, I, too, find those photographs amazing—and humbling.

The last one truly looks like a embryo, which is even more mind-boggling.
