Strange times 2
Hey there!
Haven't been up to TOOO much, but since coming back to the states, I have worked 4 days, so I am a bit tired. Luckily, today and tomorrow are off days, but with this time off, I do plan on cleaning up the house and hopefully take care of bits and pieces of other wedding things.
So, here is a story for you! I managed to snag a Wii. Yes, a Nintendo Wii! It was sure dumb luck but it works out ya know!?
Anywho, I was working at the Barnes yesterday and I had heard through Jassen rumours about Wiis being in stock at both Best Buy, Circuit, and Toys R Us. When it came closer to 10 am, I asked my manager if it would be okay for me to venture across the street to circuit city and attempt to get one. She said sure, which was rather awesome of her!
So, I FLEW across to circuit city cuz they were doing some sort of voucher system but the lady that I talked with on the phone misinformed. Apparently they handed them out at 745 in the morning. So, after waiting in line for 10 mins, I found this out...I then JETTED across the street to the bookside, and stopped at Best Buy. I saw a gentleman at the end of the line and asked if Best Buy was ALSO doing a voucher system. He said that you had to obtain one from a boy near the door. So, as I am attempting to track this kid down, the doors open, people are moving in like cattle, and I cant spot this mystery boy for the life of me.
I go to the guy standing at the front of the store and asked if there were still vouchers. Apparently they had JUST run out, as they were only giving out 24 Wiis. So, as I am saying OH MY GOSH in a disappointed tone of voice a little Asian lady, who later introduced herself as Sal, said that she had a voucher but wasnt interested in getting the Wii today....I think she was just looking forward to the Pokemon video game that was released yesterday as well. I gave this woman the biggest hug ever, since I was really just on a mission to get my parents a wii for their birthday present.
I went up to the stocks of Wii, got one, my voucher was 23 of 24,....and then went up, paid for it, went back to work, had it put in the safe. WOOHOO!!
If anyone else has a wii, I will trade friend codes with you with my one in the UK.
It's a good day to be living!

Here is a pic of us, me just waking up, and Jassen heading for work. Yes, he had to work on his birthday, but bank holiday followed and he had 4 days off after...worked out nicely!
Easter gifty of chocolate....holy gawd...it was alot of chocolate!
The sunrise in the morning....colourific!
And the kits...cuddling up!

I should be back in Portage before 10pm on Monday. I will be looking forward to a good rest and then the next day, continuing on with wedding preparations!!

Very strange...
dreams as of late.
Had a dream about Wood Green, a section of London.....that I didnt want to be there alone. I saw a dead severed hand, bloated, with a cut. I later reflect back to it realizing I claimed it as my very own.....strange vibes, weird feelings....I had even more queer dreams last night/this morning....a youthful sister with short hair, teenager, a guy that is murdered, but then I go back in time, seeing how it all unfolded into being the case....
seeing how little things people do, cause an even greater affect towards the end. If you play a part, or don't.....you are involved, cuz you exist. Either you are a proverbial fly on the way, or you are active in a cause. Once again, even if you do or don't help a cause, you play a part. If you play a part, it's the same, but you are doing more of the pushing....Crazy to think about. Life is ultimately what you make of it....I'm glad that I do have the power of choice.
Good news! Jassen's dad Sam was moved to Royal Free Hospital yesterday, he has a private room, better care, quality of the equipment is superior, and he is just so happy to be there, knowing he will get better and push through! We drove up there, it took about an hour to get there, we park in a area on the side of the building that was a pay and display, only to get to the main doors to realize the fire alarm in the hospital was sounding off. At first they said that it was ventilation issues on the main floor, so people had to use different access points, which we did in order to visit Sam. Devi then had to go back to the car to put in more money and that's when she discovered that they roped off that small area of cars, so we were unable to get back to the car at that time. We spent, Jassen and I, more time with Sam, then made an exit back out, attempted to get back to the car, as it was already past 8 at night, the bobbie wouldnt allow it, since the car wasnt in his line of sight.:-/
He then said to try the other side, we walked around, asked the police there if we could leave. They said that it might be some time and then the officer said the funniest thing. He said, go to the pub, have a few pints and wait. Devi then CRACKED UP and pointed out that they expected her to have a few drinks, then drive? Maybe it was a ploy to stop her for drinking and driving. Damn, i should have recorded that!
We walked past the pub, found a kfc, had zinger meals, etc....I felt stuffed from a starbucks I had earlier, so i somewhat forced the food, hence my little fast im doing today for a bit....we then went back, found out the status of the car/hospital situation...Jassen talked to a reporter of a local news paper, so maybe we will be able to find his quotes....come to find out, there was really a chemical spill and I think they expected the ropes to stop the smells from wafting on over.:-S
We went inside the pub for less than a half hour....Devi and Jassen chatted with a dude previously from New Zealand who seemed a bit drunk...and then the police officer then came into the pub to find us and allowed us to leave. I think it was sometime past 930/10....I wasnt keeping track of time.

From an email...
A family friend sent these in an email.....I liked these and wanted to share.
Deep Thoughts For Those Who Take Life Way Too Seriously:
1. Save the whales. Collect the whole set.
2. A day without sunshine is like . . Night .
3. On the other hand, you have different fingers.
4. 42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.
5. 99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
6. Remember, half the peopl e in the world are below average.
7. He who laughs last thinks slowest.
8. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
9. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap.
10. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.
11. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
12. Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.
13. If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
14. How many of you believe in psycho-kinesis? Raise my hand.
15. OK, so what's the speed of dark?
16. When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
17. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.
18. Every one has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.
19. How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?
20. Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
21. What happens if you get scared half to death twice?
22. I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.
23. Why do psychics h ave to ask you for your name?
24. Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened.
25. Just remember - if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off.
26. Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
27. Life isn't like a box of chocolates . . . it's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your butt tomorrow.

Glastonbury tickets...
going on sale in a matter of LESS THAN 2 hours.
There was no festival last year, as so to relax the fields from our trampling feetz, since the cows do graze on the lands.
Apparently, over a million people have pre-registered for tickets for the festival, ON THE FIRST DAY!
Jassen and I registered in the middle of February, so I would assume the numbers are now up to something like 1.5 million+ pre-registered. I know there is going to be a greater allowance of people at the festival, since the plan was to get more tent space in an area, so I will once again assume that total people there will be about 200,000. If that is the case, that would make it possible for something like 1 in 7 people getting their tickets. Each registered person is allowed to purchase 2 tickets, but the other ticket has to be with someone registered, as our pictures will be on the tickets along with names, as so people cant skank the system like years prior.
Wish us luck as we make our attempts to lay claims on some glastonbury tickets!
In other wonderful news, Val(my good friend and bridesmaid in my wedding 07-07-07) managed to get BJORK tickets for the Chicago show in May. Talk about AWESOMENESS ALL AROUND! We will see her from front row balcony......w00t!
Hope all is well!
