So,...

I have been and gone to the states already.

It was a really nice time, spending it with family and a few friends, but a week in reality is too short!
As soon as I got home, it is a bit of a tradition that I clean up the house. It's just how I operate, plus I like straightening up things.
Maybe it's a bit feng shui of me, since I do appreciate a clean environment(my standards, which can be rather high!)

The first day back, we ended up going to KFC to pick up food. We were going to go to Santiagos, a mexican restaurant, which is in the Porter/Chesterton/Burns Harbor area, but we ended up doing that the next day. We went to Rosewood for Breakfast and then again, the last day we were there, with my mom.:-)

We did a bit of shopping and I managed to get 9 articles of clothing for under 80 bucks!! It was a steal of a deal, since the clothes were 75% off.:-) The cool part about the whole trip was the fact that not only did we get some christmas money from Jassen's family, but my family and some friends as well, so we really didnt have to spend much, if any of our money. That fact was nice.

Now, we have our kitties back from the cattery, so things are starting to get back to some normalcy. Of course, there is the fact of jet lag, but Id say it's not as bad as in past years. I go back to work tomorrow, so I look forward to seeing some familar faces.:-)

Glad you had a good trip home. It's crazy how a lot of winter clothes are already being reduced and the summer clothes are coming out. We're not even halfway through winter!
