that it seems like I haven't blogged in a while. Reason being was that my folks came from the states to visit, so I was really pre-occupied with that! I requested time off from work, as so I wouldn't have to work during their stay.
My parents had a bumpy start getting here, which was no fun for anyone, except the airlines. They booked Virgin Atlantic, which in turn got cancelled. They wouldnt have found this out unless my mom had checked the website a day and a bit before, cuz no one emailed or even called to let them know of the cancellation. So they called up Virgin, told to come in as usual anyway and they would get booked on a British Airways flight.
They got to the airport and to their surprise THAT flight was cancelled as well! So, they were sent back to the Virgin Atlantic counter who had them go to the American Airlines counter to book another flight. That flight ALSO was cancelled!!! So, at 5am in the morning I got a phone call from my dad, confirming that they had been cancelled 3 times and that they would be on the next flight out on VA. The airline put them up in a hotel and had them on the first flight out in the morning. The flight was for 8am but luckily left by 9am.
Out of all of this they were delayed 12 hours. This is 12 hours less time spent with each other, which is kinda sad since they only stayed for a little over a week. Hopefully they will be compensated in some way by the airlines for the lost time.

I'm comforted by the thought you're working only 15 minutes away haha. We can meetup! Tez and I would definitely like to come visit your flat when we're settled. Hopefully Tez finds a flat in London for himself soon like he's been saying he will.
