Asda(walmart) Edmonton, UK opens today...

Here is a view from the flat.

so, a quarter til opening, at 9:45am, I stood in the crowds to see what the new Asda was all about and possibly catch a few deals. As I was standing in line and the natives started to become restless, people started to push unnecessarily. I don't understand why people feel the need to do that? The struggle of it all.:-(

Before getting into the crowds

Anywho, there I was in between 2 shopping carts intersecting at a 45 degree angle, with me in the middle, being squished. My poor hips! Finally at about 10:15, I was let in. I still can't believe that people use their kids in buggies as battering rams and excuses to push through to the front.

Crowds. At this pt. things were alright, pleasant, etc. 10 minutes later, it wouldn't be the case...

The deals werent THAT great, but alright. I wandered around for about 30 minutes and made my way to the checkout which was smooth and easy. I headed out and around, then walked parallel to the St. George parking garage home.

I was soooo glad to be in the comfort of my own home.
I ran into a guy and his kid and he asked if it were true that everything is half off. I looked at my receipt and said, 'NOPE, not true'

The lies people say to stir up crap.*le sigh*

After I left, I looked from my flat and noticed an ambulance and then soon a police car that shortly followed. Seriously people, like one of the police officer's said, upon coming in, "Quit pushing people! It's just a supermarket, for crying out loud!"
I second that.

Glad to be home, but was it worth it?

Hmmm… Seems that shopping can be physically dangerous! And, may God help us, the holiday season is almost upon us. I believe that I shall make all of my Christmas purchases on the Internet.

I just purchased something for one of my family members today online. I leave the likes of walmart for things such as stocking stuffers.;-)
