I have officially and with out a doubt, posted off my application to be a citizen of my current country of residence.
This morning, I couldn't eat until I went to the post office, secured Special Delivery, and had enclosed a return envelope, also special delivery.
I have triple and quadruple checked my application, making sure that all of my required documents(+more) were evident.
A wave of nausea has come and gone.
Now, I sit with an empty plate, which once had 3 pieces of toast with nutella, and a half cup of coffee, or maybe it's half full today?:-p
When I was just about to make my exit at the post office, I said to the royal mail employee, 'This is QUITE a monumental day.' and smiled. He seemed to have enjoyed the process as well, as he noted my application title as well as the destination of the address.
5 minutes later, I went to go pick up Jassen's valentine's day gift at another post office pick up. We don't normally go all out on gifts and such, but I found something quite nice, that I think he will enjoyed, so it's all good in the Jen hood.
Over the past nearly 7 years, we normally head to a fast food place to celebrate our love and being together. This year, it might be a bit of an upgrade to the previous years as we are starting to run out of places to go.
So far, we have gone to the following places:
2005- McDonalds
2006- Burger King
2007- Pizza Hut
2008- Subway?
2009- Wimpy's
2010- Nando's
I'll wait for Jassen to come around to double check the places we have gone, but believe that is close to correct.
THis year, we might try a local Turkish restaurant, which always smells great when we walk past it, and looks lush inside.:-)
