Productive Day

today...

Today, I was working on the scene in which Jack is waving his hand as he is bombarded with the farty smell of a shakey old woman..I had already drawn the outlines of the scenes and had them tested out on Adobe Premiere and it meshed wonderfully, so today was a day of pen and inking it up. I have two more pages to pen and ink, then I will scan it into the computer to be added properly to the chain of events.

That wont take me too long at all and I will start in with the scene of Jack and a homeless person. It is time consuming...in fact, I am now starting to do 930-530 shifts of it. Just like REAL work..:-p

Not this friday, but next, Raf and I are heading out to central london to take pictures for one of the other scenes, which should look pretty decent and monty python-esque! The following monday will be OFF TO THE PRINTERS at least for that scene for some extra added touches.

Right now, I am wiped!! I think it might have something to do with accidentally waking up at 5 in the morning and so, i am really feeling it at the moment. Tomorrow should be a better day in regards to sleep....at least I HOPE!

Alrightee...I should start to get in the mindset of relaxing, so there I will be.

Ciao!

Hello All!

This is just a test.  Jassen just downloaded for me a blogger widget for the macintosh, so that it would be a bit more quick to blog things.  So far, it seems alright, but took a little bit to log in.  We shall see what the future brings!!

Anywho...Im off...

Im in the mood to make lists of things....crazy, i know....but bite me.....really!:-p(just kidding, im on crack)....natural crack, not the kind that you get at a street pharmacist...TA!

Not much...

a happening...and Im not really in a posting mood....since, like thursday, but I will update you of my life thus far.:-p

On thursday, I worked on animation with Raf and half way completed a scene, which will then be tested on Adobe Premiere to see if it flows, if so, it will then be pen and inked and then put on Adobe once more. It is quite a fun process and Adobe Premiere rocks!!

I think I will bring my camera(Jassen's) on monday and start getting footage for the "making of" video to supplement our animation. I do have to say that I might be a natural at the whole animation thing. When all is completed, I will see if it is kosher to stream the cartoon for your viewing pleasure. We are hoping to have it all completed before April, but we shall see...All in good time!

Im really craving some Starbucks, so I think I might bug Jassen about going into Enfield Town(since that is like 10-15 mins away by bus) and is the closest Starbuckies in the area. I think I might also push myself to draw more.

Here is something that I worked on a few days ago. And like always, it looks better in person.:-p

Enjoy! It is suppose to be a little girl, but I aged her about 5-7 years...:-S

At the..

(Pre-Elbow Excitement!)
moment, currently I am reading Roald Dahl's BFG,which is an acronym for Big Friendly Giant.

I really didnt read too many Dahl books when I was younger besides Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Glass Elevator. I do have to say that I am enjoying the story thus far.

It is about a little girl Sophie, who live in the UK in an orphanage, and one night spots a giant wandering the streets with a suitcase and a trumpet looking thing. He goes up to the windows, since he is like 25 ft tall, peeps in and blows the trumpet into the rooms. He notices Sophie spying on him and wisks her away across lands to his home in giant country, where she believes she will soon meet her end. To her discovery, he isnt into eating people and befriends Sophie.

He is a magical creature that is a dream giant, so thats about it, when it comes to the story so far...I am less than 100 pages from the end, but at the moment, the people eating giants that he knows, Sophie is trying to stop them with help from the BFG.

Jassen ordered some cool things that have recently came in. First cool thing is a dimming light switch that is operated either by remote or sensor, so that should be fun to install today at some point. Also, we ordered some 100w light bulbs that more or less replicate daylight. They have a blue tinge and help to make rooms less depressive. Less sad...or so it was advertized.
I like it so far!

So, Elbow.

I didnt end up taking piccies, cuz we didnt want to lug around the camera with chances we would be stopped by security at the venue. The first group to perform was either a Scottish or Irish band by the named Larrikin Love. They were mildly entertaining in a strange way and had a violin player. The next band was drab and I really didnt enjoy them at all, which was Forward Russia...and the third and final opening act was The Duke Spirit. They were cool for about the first 15 mins, but then i started staring at the lights and began to see spots. I think i was nearing the fact that I might pass out, but then decided to close my eyes for a few minutes to avoid that. Silly me!

FINALLY...Elbow appeared and all previous ailments and sense of aching feet disapated. Jassen and I have seen Elbow on 3 other occasions. First was at Glastonbury 2004, then V festival, in which we met them and got autographs(and Guy Garvey, the lead singer, recognized us in the audience after. The next time was at their dvd screener and interview of Leaders of the Freeworld, and Guy noticed us once again, and this last time at Astoria,...all i can say is INTENSE. Jassen and I were dead center about 3-4 rows back from the front and Guy used us as a focal point throughout the gig. He made eye contact with us so often that I had to break it once, cuz I started getting a bit shy from it all. It was awesome though and its nice that he recognized us again.

I am hoping that Elbow play at Glasto 2007...That would totally make my life.:-p

here is a pic that i posted before, but I love it and its from V fest of 2004.

PS...I dont recommend V(irgin) Festival. The atmosphere is utter shit compared to that of Glasto. There are too many teeny boppers that fear mud at this one. There are rumours of Radiohead playing there this year, but I feel if they do, theyve most probably fallin into the gutter of commercial...so, i hope for the best, and that they play at Glasto as well. It would make their 10th anniversary of the last time they played Glasto, so I only find it appropriate and necessary that they attend next years.:-p

Oh...and recommended Elbow Albums...well, all of em...

Asleep in the Back

Cast of Thousands

Leaders of the Free World

It's kinda funny how I discovered them. They were recommended on the Coldplay Message Board and one day, my favourite cd shop was going out of business, Music Warehouse, which was right next to the Barnes and Noble that I work at. Anywho, one day, I was looking through the super cheap cds, since they were getting rid of everything and I found Asleep in the back for literally a few bucks. I bought it and got hooked! Now, about 3+ years have passed and Ive already seen them 4 times. How awesome is that?

I really need to write down bands that I must see at some point or another. I get to that soon!

This is a smaller venue and more intimate, so Ive heard, so if pictures are allowed, I will post them ASAP!
Jassen is managing to get out of work about 4pm, so he is on his way back home, to ready ourselves, then meet Raf, since he is going with us as well.

Tonight, I am going to be meeting 2 more boardies from the Coldplay Message Board, so slight chance of piccies as well.
That will bring my total of boardies met up to 31. WOOT!

Saturday...nite.

In total, I have met 29 Coldplay Message Board Buddies from all parts of the world, both via meetups, concerts, london, et cetera.

Last night, I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle(through Jassen), from Israel. She does alot of gigging and traveling which is something to admire, fo sure!

We went out to Pizza Hut near Russell Square and then trotted our way over to a pub in which I totally have spaced on the name of it. I was a bit out of it, which seems to be the usual, but overall it was a nice night!

Hope you have a safe flight, Ms. Michelle!;-)

Here are some piccies from the evening as well as from earlier in the afternoon. I got another key cut so that I have more freedom to move about London, if and when I choose, as well as a monthly bus pass. My bf rocks!! Thanks!;-) We stopped at coffee shop that was called something like Coffee Continent, it had a nice feel about the place and both Jassen and I got a Double Mochaccino...tis yummy! This was actually my first coffee in England since back in October of Last year...

good to be back.

I am working on some japanimation piccies derived from Final Fantasy, so i will post em when I get it completed!

Let's go tooo the moooovies!

Here are a few piccies from today:

[This is a piccie of Me and Niamh at Cineworld in Enfield. We are waiting in line to pay for our lil bags of sweets]

[This is a piccie of Brooke, Niamh's friend that was with us on our journey!]

[This is a pic of me at the cinema..solo.]

[This is Niamh enjoying her Chocolate frozen drink that she wouldnt allow Brooke a sip of, cuz it was so good.]

[This is a piccie of brooke at the Krispy Kremes. This was her second time at a KKremes.]

[This is pure and heavenly enjoyment of the raspberry frozen drink I purchased!]

So, Today...it was suppose to be a day at the ice rink with Niamh and her friend Brooke, but those plans went belly up as we pulled into the ally pally parking lot to see a long queue of people, waiting in line to get in, so we circled around the alexandria palace area, drove past one of Jassen's families old houses and then went towards Picketts Lock. And to our discovery, it has been torn down!!!

So, we wandered the streets in the car and finally decided to head to the Enfield Cinema. We got dropped off by Michelle and Steve and headed inside to watch Cheaper By the Dozen 2, even though none of us had seen the first one. We got our pick-a-candy, which now I am regretting cuz I have a MAJOR sugar headache and found our seats.

After the movie, we headed to Krispy Kremes for some frozen drinks. I got my favourite, Raspberry..mmmMMMMM!!

I need a nap, so TA!!

IT'S--off to the races!

Last night, I went to Walthamstow Stadium to bet on dogs.

Yes, Jennifer....was betting on dogs...

One thing I learned out of it, is if you see yur dog poo on the track prior to the race, that means it was overfed and probably was made to lose. How rigged is that? Needless to say that happened a few times, but on the brighter side, money that Jassen and I put into the racing, we came out about even.

His work provided us with £2 bet totes, free entry....as well as two free fosters or a glass of house wine. I tried the white wine, but Im not really so much a fan of wines and had about a bottle of Fosters. Before heading off to the track, we stopped at Wetherspoons to meet up with some of Jassen's workmates, Andy and Angela, as well as Angela's sister, who was rather nice. There, I had a Reef, which is an alcopop of orange/passionfruit vodka as well as a blue looking shot heading out.

We had a bit of a small group but the next time we head out, in about 2 months, there will be a larger group. In total, I won £20.85, at least from what i can recall.

My dog's that won were:

Tidy Class Room
Jelly Mould
and Perceptive Pacey

Yay puppies!!

[Plug]PS...Greyhounds make great petz, so adopt an ex-racer, if you ever decide to get a greyhound![/end plug]

These are all the non-winners Jassen And I betted on, but the names are a laugh!

Fairbrook Sarah
Dapper Mourinho
Concierto
Newline Mentor
Windgap Woods(sounds like a fart)
Blue Kanaka
Hunting Prince
Caths Queeny
Viere Intuitive
Implicitily
Windton Bypass
Heavy Breather
Tournament Time
Droopys Halle

After the races, we headed to THE LAMB a pub nearby and I ended up doing 2 shots(blue sherbertish thing and mint chocolate) as well as another alco pop with consisted of a tropical watermelon...Breezers as they are called. Really I shouldnt drink like that, cuz I feel like crap afterwards as well as dehydrated...Ah, the lessons learnt

eEKS!

So, I didnt properly wake up until 1215.

IM A BUM!!

I had some strange dreams as well, but that usually happens when I sleep alot. I already had some lunch which consisted of cupa chicken soup, cheesy bread, and veggie juice. I've been feeling alot more positive lately...the passed day or so, which is nice. It is nice to be positive. It feels nice.

I wonder if my positivity works hand in hand with my monthly cycle. I think its a fair question, but i dont want to be ruled by that...my emotions and attitudes and all.:-S

Last Night, Jassen and I traveled to Hollywood Green to see Chicken Little, which runs 81 mins. It was quite funny and I recommend it! The sweet popcorn wasnt as sweet par usual but the ice blast was delish!

After the film, which was close to 9, Jassen and decided to walk back home from Woodgreen. By bus, it can take 15-20 mins there, so walking takes about 30-45 mins. So, it was really nice walking, getting the blood pumping and the oxygen circulating, so we will try to do this every wednesday, weather permitting.

Tonight, we are going out with some of his workmates to the dog racing tracks, drink, and put on a few bets. Since it is company sponsored, the event, Jassen gets £2 of betting money and I think 2 drinks. If Im wrong, correct me.:-p We are meeting up a bit earlier at Wetherspoons for some pre-event drinks, so should call for an interesting night.

Tomorrow, I am going ICE SKATING for the first time. I will be going with Jassen brother Steve's step daughter, Niamh(pronounced Nieve), one of her friends, and her mom. Im a bit excited since I have never ice skated before, but i heard its alot like rollerblades, so I should be alright!

I will post more later. I will be attempting to draw something non-human, but I dont know what yet, so i figure that out and post it as soon as!

Oh,and 1 more thing...

my kits....Pepper and Salt...

have they not grown or what?

In continuation...

and so on and so on...

Today, I decided to take a walk in the great wide open. I do find myself a bit paranoid at times, walking in a neighbourhood. It is a bit different say when I am either with Jassen, cuz I know where to put my hands. When I walk alone, I unnaturally shove them in my coat pockets, jeans, but hardly swing them from side to side unless I am in a jog. It is also different then walking around central london, were the people are bussing and moving about, so less focus is put on you. I hope this makes sense.

Im a goober.

*note visual of goober*

At the moment, I am enjoying veggie juice....and im on my 3rd glass....bad news for the toilet, i predict in the future...HAHA!

Here are some pics that i have done both recently and from a few years back...meaning, the dave matthews one..some are doodles, so not quite complete.

ENJOY!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

A round of hugs and kisses for all!!

I would like to introduce someone rather special.

His name is Dug and is Pepper's newfound friend.

Really, this is all I got for now, but I will update later, most probably in the evening.

LATAZ!

Update! Update!

So, yea...Ive been in the UK since friday and today...well, today is monday...

Jassen has gone to work a few hours ago and I am in the house, with the kits, Jassen's daddio, and Reubs.

It's nice and quiet for the most part, which like I said...is nice.:-)

Pepper, my girly kit, she keeps on checking up on me, like im about ready to disappear. I think she missed me the most, the 3.5 months that i was MIA. Super cute! She has a new buddy. I got Jassen a toy kittykat from Barnes(that looks like Salt) but Pepper has laid claims to it. We like to call it Dug(but think Doug), since the brand of it is Douglas. When it gets to the pt that dug has been ripped to shreds we will then call him Douglas(like Dougless....less of Dug)...nm

I'll add pics as soon as the camera is up and charged.

Plans for today:

Do some organizing cuz I brought loads of my belongings here and they need proper placement.
Secondly, I will update my blog, which is what im doing at the mo, but I will come back to it later with piccies.
Third, I will force myself to do a bit of drawing, just to get my fingers a-flexin.

Alright...Need some water...Planes sure dehydrate moi!

I'm having..

[Front yard of my house from the living room POV]

some sleeping difficulties, thus i blog!

I updated the Barnes and Noble Montage, which now can be found in January 2006 arrives on the right hand side of my blog! I got 32 pictures in total, plus I am working on another at the mo. Unfortunately, I didnt get a few peoples pics, such as Val, Kim, Bethany, Lanee, Bruce, Kristen and maybe one or two others, so if any of youz lets them know, I would love to have a piccie of them somehow in my montage...:-)

This morning, to my surprise and utter dismay, I opened the blinds of my living room to discover that snow was blanketing the grounds in full force! I'm glad some of it melted later. I want spring, not freakin winter any longer! Ah well, I guess it doesnt matter too much, with the fact that in less than 29 hours, I will be in the UK enjoying some bitter coldness with no snow.

I have some last minute running around and final packing and double checking, but other than that, I am set and ready to head out into the next chapter of my life, whatever that might be. I am looking forward to the future on a positive note, cuz life is going to happen to me, whether I want it to or not, so why not be positive about it? Or as much positive as possible and being honest about it.

*hugs* Take care all and see you on the other side(of the pond, that is!)

Let the countdown...

beginneth!

52+ hours....and counting until I touch down in the UK!!

:-)

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

Hello ALL!!

Good Afternoon!

Today, as I think to myself, and type outloud, I think about the fact that tonight is the last time I am to work at Barnes and Noble FOR 6 MONTHS! I love that I have been given the opportunity to come back in August. That makes me feel so welcome there! I have been updating the Barnes and Noble Montage of Piccies, which should now be more than 3/4ths down the page. Do forgive the fact that on macs and pcs, that the text that I have next to the piccies might be a bit skewed. I will fix that shortly on both accounts!

I haven't been up to too much as of late. I am playing more of the waiting game, waiting for it to be Thursday evening so that I can head on the bus, arrive at the airport, and board my flight. Then on friday morning, I will arrive INTO the arms of my wonderful wonderful boyfriend. Mucho excitedo!

I miss my kittens...they will be one years old on June 10th...Even though that is months away, that is when they will officially no longer be kittens but cats...but I will still refer to them as my kits...just cuz i can and will and will continue doing so...:-p

Hope everyone is well!!
Take Care!

Sunday...bloody freakin,..

sunday...

[The picture above is a thank you card from June, a family friend whose husband recently passed away. I wrote her a poem which is somewhere in the archives of January and this was her response.]

At this point, it will be less than 4 days and 17 hours until I will be in England. The days are creeping on up, but the anticipation is 10 fold as well! AHH!!

Listening to tunes via Pandora . IF you have not heard of it, I would recommend it. You put in an artist you like and with that, it creates a radio station geared to that genre of music as well as introduces you to different bands, etc that you havent heard of before. Pretty cool.

This weather has been so weird. I mean, granted its february and there should be snow on the ground at this time, but heck, im spoiled and I want more spring-like weather! Too cold for my taste around here, but it doesnt say much when Im heading over to merry ole England and things are much more bitter there along with less snow.

I think the most snow they have had was back in the late 1800s with the little ice age that occurred from about 1400-1500s to the end of the 1800s. Beyond that, it's pretty dry over there. Even the thunderstorms are few and far in between and when it does, it's really weird sounding. I mean, the thunder bounces off the buildings and it sounds as though it is trying to rumble but its more of a booming kinda sound.

I've been dreaming about my kits indirectly. I miss them more than I realize!

Jassen....I LOVE YOU!!!

My friend..

Darren posted a little story...I liked it, so I want to share.

"Two Wolves"

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes
on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves"
inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I'm so not confused...

that I'm confused.

[Picture this]

Do you ever wonder if it is really you that is the stick when shit is being stirred by you? How very shaman of me to say.

I think it has been one of those weeks that seem to fly by but you are still drowned in your own sense of boredom. I am just waiting for change to happen, happen to me, but realistically, it happens to me all the time.

You known when you throw a stone into, say...Lake Michigan, and the oscillations result? Well, we are the point of contact, the initial contact with that of the stone to water(vice versa), that then decides to spread out, oscillate its pattern outward, hoping to make a pimple in time and blossom...Which it does.

But too easily, do I forget that imprint...The initial contact, the difference that I make in my life and those around....It doesn't take much to make an imprint, but the question I pose is, how long will it last?

I guess since it happened, in accordance to time, then it lasts forever, cuz it happened, even when the sands of time run out, it exists, my actions exist, i exist. Ah, words of jensdom(jen's wisdom) but not that often do i believe what i say or think to believe, cuz often my mind plays tricks on me. What to believe. What is my truth? I guess it's what i make it to be cuz we are limited by time..or are we?

I am a walking contradiction...there was a new friend that I was speaking with about life and thinking too much, and what was said by this friend, that they really got to the point of dumbing themselves down to the thoughts that invaded their brain...and became a bit more naive to things around on purpose. Do i have to do the same trick?

Mostly,I always feel the need to prepare for things in my life and if i dont, its like im not in control(for the most part)...I do want to numb myself out, back to the depths of my youth...when i look to experience as something new...and not a lead weight sinking through a cest pool of the negative. (I was a very happy kid!)

I think Im just having a crappy day...thing will fair better at work, cuz I get to be constructive.

John Mayer gives a little "Clarity"

I worry
I weigh three times my body
I worry
I throw my fear around
But this morning
There's a calm I can't explain
The rock candy's melted, only diamonds now remain

By the time I recognize this moment
This moment will be gone
But I will bend the light pretending
That it somehow lingered on

And I will wait to find
If this will last forever
And I will wait to find
If this will last forever
And I will pay no mind
Well it won't and it won't because it can't
It just can't
(It's not supposed to)

Was there a second of time I looked around?
Did I sail through or drop my anchor down?
Was anything enough to kiss the ground
And say I'm here now?
And she is here now

So much wasted in the afternoon
So much sacred in the month of June
How bout you?

And I will wait to find
If this will last forever
And I will wait to find
That it won't and it won't and it won't
And I will pay no mind
Worried bout no rainy weather
And I will waste no time
Remaining in our lives together

Warning: online test!

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.

;-) Some of the questions, I was a bit torn, but I chose the "best" answer!

Project Runway

AHHHH!!!

Must see show....Ive been watching the last 4+ episodes and there are 5 designers left so its getting pretty intense!! I have a few favourites, but Ill only reveal them once they make the top 3(if they do)!

Overall, today was rather drab. I need to charge up da camera so i can continue on the picture-taking adventure!! I close tomorrow at work. It is strange to think that its really only a matter of 3-4 days of work left and then I will be waiting to leave next Thurs...nearly a week away....Honestly, I am on pins and needles and I cant wait...I cant wait for the change....the possibilities.....my life is turning another corner...for real.

I've been having the strangest of dreams as of late and had the hardest time trying to go to bed last night. It was like an internal struggle in my brain...I just wasnt allowing myself to sleep, even though i craved the rest. The rest factor, if you get my drift.

I am on day 3 of not eating past 7 and then watching what goes in my mouth, when, and drinking more water, less poppy stuffz, and apple cider vinegar at least twice a day.

I did some cleaning around the house, so that its not left a wreck before I leave and will probably continue straightening and organizing my room, since I love to organize.:-S

I can start to feel myself becoming more apathetic to things around me...so, i need to stop myself, re-evaluate what is going on, ground myself in the sense of a reality check, and just learn to take deeper breaths, which Jassen is always reminding me of. I had a lot a head of me, but really I need to take my life a day at a time, cuz its so fleeting really.

I was contemplating the ideas of death and how naive I am to my own that will occur someday. It makes me sad, cuz I feel that I have tons to accomplish and so much love to share in this form, so i need to get myself out of that particular mindset...its not healthy to dwell, but maybe use as a motivation for better things(and thats the line drawn).

I hope you all have a wonderful groundhog's day and remember, Mcds has burgers on sale for cheap!! if you are a beef eater that is...;-)
